Hope you had a good week at camp! Here is your first homework. Please post your responses to the following questions by August 20th.

  2. 1. I always want to remember everything about my week at camp.

    2. I learned that I have the gifts of pastoring, teaching, encouragement

    3. I plan on using these gifts to help encourage people to join my project.

    4. I know that getting the word out and telling people will be the most challenging for me.

    5. I plan on dealing with this by overcoming my fears of rejection and using my resources.

    6. I am nervous about the interviews I hope I learn to have confidence in myself.

    7. I am fine with developing a support team I hope I learn to accept help from others from my support team

  3. I want to remember all of the friends I have made.

    I have learned that I have the gifts of pastoring, administration, listening and intergenerational openness.

    I plan on using these gifts to make my project a success and get people involved with something out of the ordinary at my church.

    I know that sticking with my project when I'm frustrated and getting people to help will be the most challenging for me.

    I plan on dealing with this by asking people to pray and remebering that I don't have to do everything on my own.

    I am anxious to do interviews. I hope that I learn how to listen to other people and their ideas during the interviews.

    I am excited about developing a support team and I hope I learn that my support team is willing to help me and do the best that they can do to support me.

    I hope that my faith grows and I hope that I can find patience while doing my project.

    I hope that I learn how to work with others and communicate better.

  4. 1. Coming out of my shell and being part of the group.
    2. I learned that I have the gifts of pastoring, listening, and mercy.
    3. I will use my gifts to listen to the ideas that my support team and others.
    4. My organization skills.
    5. Plan out my project and have make sure to stay in touch with my support team.
    6. I am nervous about doing the interviews. I hope I learn the following from the interviews is that i can become more comfortable with my speaking.
    7. I am excited about developing a support team. I hope I learn the following from the support team what it means to be a leader.
    8. I plan to during the following year to become more confindent about myself and to be shy.

  5. 1. i want to remember how fun it can be to be a leader

    2.i learned that i have the gifts of administration, mercy, music, and intergenerational openness

    3.i plan to make a gospel choir open to any age

    4. i know that it might be hard to find enough people to make a decent choir

    5. to make up for that disadvantage, i am going to try to ask some people from my school or from surrounding churches to join the choir

    6. i am eager for my interviews and i hope to find out if my project is worth doing

    7. i am looking forward to setting up a support team, i hope i will get good suggestions for making my project better

    8. i hope i get better at talking to people i dont know, and carrying on conversations with people i do know

    9. i hope i learn how to trust other people, and how to trust god more

    2. I learned that I have the gifts of leadership, encouragement, hospitality, faith, and intergenerational openness

    3. I plan on using my gifts to get people involved in my church and be there to encourage and support them throughout my project.

    4. I know that getting the word out and having people accept the changes I make are going to be difficult. Also taking in the feedback and trying to adjust my project to benefit the biggest need of my church.

    5. I plan on dealing with those challenges by listening to the ideas of others and making slow transitions in order for people to become comfortable and more accepting.

    6.I am excited about the interviews and I hope to learn fun and differnt views on how my project can go.

    7. I am hankering :) to develop my support team. I hope I learn that my support team will be excited to work on my project with me and will always be there for me even when i get frustrated.

    8. I hope I grow to be a very patient and understanding leader.

    9. I hope I learn to place more trust in God to help guide me.

  7. 1. I want to always remember when we all were starting to get to know each other and we were doing the team building games, we all just started opening up.

    2. I learned that the gifts i have are good listening skills, and i am a good servant. Im hoping to include that in my YSLI project.

    3. Im still trying to figure out how im going to use my gifts. When I interview people at my church Im going to ask what they think is needed, and if there is anything that is related to my gifts.

    4. The areas that are going to be challenging for me when i start my project are getting started at my project and working everything out as it gets started, but it will be fun!

    5. I plan on dealing with these problems by having a clear mind, asking for help when needed, and sometimes changing things in my project to make it go smoothly.

    6. I am interested about doing the interviews. I hope I learn what the church and community needs and how to incorperate my gifts.

    7. I am excited about developing a support team. I hope I learn about not being independant and trusting people with things.

    8. I hope I grow to be more trusting and more flexible when it comes to this project.

    9. I hope to learn more about my self and my church in this next year and hopefully years after.

    2. I learned that I have the gifts of leadership, evanglism, music and writing.
    3. I plan on using my gifts in my YSLI project by basing my project around my gifts.
    4. I know that stepping out of my shell and confronting areas of concern are going to be challenges for me.
    5. I plan on dealing with these challenges by stepping forward and getting past my fears.
    6. I am excited about doing the interviews. I hope I learn the needs of my church from the interviews and how I can help.
    7. I am nervous about developing a support team. I hope I learn that together anything is possible from the support team.
    8. I hope I grow and become a more open person in this next year.
    9. I hope I learn who I am, what I can accomplish and how I can help my church this next year.

  10. 1. I want to remember all of the creative songs that Kali made up! :) And all the fun we had!

    2. I learned that I have musical gifts and the ability to connect with a lot of different people which will help me in my project.

    3. I am using my musical gifts to start a youth choir in my church.

    4. I think it's going to be hard for me to take control and be a leader.

    5. I need to realize that this is something God has called me to do so I need to do it.

    6. I am interested in what response I get from the interviews. I hope to learn the opinions of people around me.

    7. I am excited and a little nervous about the support team. I hope to learn how we all can be together in a strong group.

    8. I hope to grow in leadership and in my faith in the next year.

    9. I hope to learn a lot about the way people get along with others so that in the future I can understand that better.

  11. 1. I want to always remember this memory from my summer YSLI experience: breaking the slide! ill always remember: slides are for 5 year olds! not 5 teenagers!!!

    2. I learned that I have the following gifts: faith, intercession, music

    3. I plan on using these gifts in my YSLI project in the following ways: i think ill start a youth choir or something in that region

    4. I know that the following areas are going to be a challenge for me:taking the responsibility of a leadership role

    5. I plan on dealing with those challenges in the following way: just trust that god has a plan for me and i can do anything in his name

    6. I am excited about doing the interviews. I hope I learn the following from the interviews: that people in my church are willing to help.

    7. I am nervous about developing a support team. I hope I learn the following from the support team: that i realize that my congregation stands behind me in my decisions
