  1. 1. I want to get the youth that are not in middle school yet involved in the church.
    2. It is going to a drop-off event for parents to leave their children at the church for a couple hours every few weeks. While the children are at church they are going to have a little bibly study, community project (creating cards for the hospital, etc), and watching movies or playing games.
    3. I hope that the parents feel comfortable leaving their children at the church and I hope the kids are excited and have fun while they are there. I hope that it makes the kids excited about church and look forward to going to church. I hope it will be a fun enviroment where there is lots of postive energy and enthusiasm while learning about helping others and growing in a relationship with God.
    4. I think that people will be really happy that they are helping children grow with god and are going to enjoy being there. I hope they think that this would be something that is fun and good for the kids and something they would like to continue.
    Goals:
goal 1: I want to find a group of volunteer's that would like to help watch the children every few weeks.
goal 2: I would like to get craft supplies, movies, food, games, and service project materials. I would love to have a theme for each "drop-off" night. I want it to be a fun, leaning enviroment.
goal 3: I would like to get the middle schoolers and high schoolers to help take part in my project. One night it could be the youth taking care of the youth. This way it connects all of the younger generation at my church.
I hope that my project brings the children in my church that aren't involved in high school or middle school youth programs, a chance to come to the church every few weeks and really grow in God. I want the kids to feel excited about coming to church and learning about God in a fun way. I hope that it helps get those younger kids more involved in the church and that they will grow up and continue on with church activites and growing in God

  3. 1. i want to make a succesful gospel choir in my church
    2. i want it to be somewhat professional, but kind of casual and fun at the same time
    3. i want it to be fun for people to show up to choir practice, it should be kind of casual so more people will like it, but we still need to get stuff done
4.i hope they like it and want to bring it back next year
    5.

goal 1. i want to get it started between christmas and easter because thats when the other church choir wont be doing much
goal 2. i want to perform at easter and maybe once before.
goal 3. get the word out about the choir now, even though it wont be started until after christmas, so people can make room for it, and have time to think about joining

ultimately i want to see it come back year after year, i want it to become a new tradition in my church

  4. 1.I want to sucessfully start an Exploration II or another words a sr. high youth group for last years exploration (conformation) class
2.The group will meet twice a month. One of the times it will be in the sr. high youth room at the church just to hang out for a few hours, and the other time we meet we will be doing an activity probably away from the church.
3.well one of the girls already told me she wants it to have nothing to do with God but i have a different idea. I dont want Exp.II to be like Exp.I (conformation) in the sence that all we did was sit at a table and study the church and God. No, i want it to be fun for all participants but i do think God should be present is some way shape or form. And that might just mean a prayer at the beginning of the time and then before everyone leaves have a bible verse that pertains in some way to what we did and then say another prayer. But i do want all participants to throughly enjoy themselves and want to keep coming back each time.
4.I hope these teens will want to keep this group going and keep coming back. I hope they feel welcome and that they are at a place where they can be themselves.

goal 1. i want to get as many teens my age involved as possible and have them come the group

goal 2. i want to talk to these teens and find out what activities they would be interested in doing

goal 3. i want seek out the teens in my church i have never met that have never been involved in any type of youth activity and encourage them to come

ultimately i want to invite this years and future exploration classes to join once they have been compleated that, but also if there are other teens in my church that didnt go through conformation i want them to be able to participate in this group too. I hope the group continues on and on and someday my church will once again have a thriving youth community

  5. 1. I want to start a mentoring program where teens get together with an elementary age student for like an hour and play games and talk and do whatever.

    2. It will look like teens willing to help and trying to make a difference in a young persons life.

    3. I hope that participants feel a connection within there pairs and with other mentors and feel like they are making a difference in a young persons life.

    4. Hopefully people see that there are teens willing to make a difference and that teens arent bad!

Goal 1: get teens to be mentors
Goal 2: Get parents to allow there kids to participate.
    Goal 3: To be successful

I want to have teens to have a fun way to participate in the church as well as make a difference in someones life and I want children to feel like the teen cares about them and is making a positive impact and connection.

  6. Thanks everyone for your posts. I sent a letter to your pastor/youth director (your church contact person) telling them about our last retreat and what you learned. I also told them that you would be getting a support team meeting together in the near future. One of our YSLI board members will be coming to that support team meeting, so you need to let me know what those will be happening. I am also going to be meeting with you and your pastor/youth director. Please be thinking about what day of the week or time of day would work for such a meeting between the three of us. NOT a Wednesday night or a Sunday morning though as I have my own church activities going on too. I'll be calling you to set that up. Ask your pastor/youth director what works. Good job with the comments.
